About the Inclusive Masculinities Course
Our reason for offering this program is because, in our increasingly diverse, interconnected, and complex world, we need to understand and begin to unlearn and transcend our conscious and unconscious biases, our external and internal superiority and inferiority, and the implicit and explicit ways we use power as men.
This group experience is for 10 men who want to engage radically across racial, generational, and cultural differences; men who want to build awareness about their racial socialization, reduce the harm they do others and themselves because of their internalized superiority and inferiority, and journey to a deeper more integrated sense of self. Addressing these issues is essential to living a more inclusive and integrated life with minimum tension and maximum freedom and purpose. The group will be composed of up to 5 white men (age 55 and over) and 5 men of African descent (age 55 and under) so that together we can interrogate the dynamics of age and race and mentor one another in learning how to relate to each other as equals.
Some outcomes include:
WHERE: Online experiential via Zoom, a free video conferencing software (like Skype for groups).
FEE: The fee for participating in this program is on a sliding scale of $300 - $600. We have 1 full scholarship available for someone unable to pay for the sessions. Payment plans are also available. Let me know if either of these options will support your participation.
The fee covers:
WHEN: The zoom meetings are currently scheduled on the following days. Each session will start at 7pm EST and run for 90 minutes. Let me know if you are willing to participate, but unable to make all the sessions.
