SOLFIRE - The “fire” that lights the “soul” was fueled early on by experiences and observations of oppression that confused, infuriated and caused harm to many communities. The early activism of the 1960s lives on in our organization, and those of us with unearned societal privilege see it as our responsibility to use our voices and power to shift the dynamics in organizations and society.

Growing up in a steel mill town as a middle sibling of ten raised in catholic schools and being in the first generation to go to college, Plácida Gallegos, the founder of Solfire, often questioned the status quo and refused to settle for easy answers to complex challenges.

We are both optimistic and realistic about what true social transformation requires from all of us. We represent a wide variety of generations, backgrounds, disciplines, and regions. Our collective wisdom allows us to meet clients as valued partners with their own unique mix of cultures, social identity groups, challenges and opportunities.
